I am happy to be a part of theClark Creek family. Prior to being appointed as Assistant Principal here, I most recently served as Assistant Principal at Holly Springs Elementary, Johnston Elementary, and at Oak Grove Elementary as a Teacher on Special Assignment - Administration. I've also taught third grade for a total of 17 years, this time being divided between Arnold Mill Elementary and Little River Elementary here in Cherokee County. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Master's of Education, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, I have earned a leadership, gifted, and reading endorsement. I'm a National Board certified teacher as well as a Georgia Master Teacher.
I love all aspects of school, and I'm especially enjoying my opportunity to try my hand at administration. I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I welcome the opportunity to support teachers in their efforts here at Holly Springs.
I will always be a teacher-at-heart. I tend to view things through the lens of a teacher. I hope to never lose this perspective.
On a personal note, I am married to my husband, Jeff. We have two sons, a beautiful daugther-in-law (and soon to add another), and two grandchildren. Miss Brooklyn and Cru Buddy are the lights of our lives. I enjoy reading good books and traveling, especially when a beach is involved.
I look forward to serving the Holly Springs Elementary community, and I'm proud to be a Wildcat!
